El Kaabi hat-trick gives Greek side healthy advantage

Aston Villa were beaten 4-2 by Olympiakos in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final as Ayoub El Kaabis hat-trick stunned Steven Gerrard's side.

The Greek side took the lead through El Kaabi in the 25th minute, and the Moroccan forward added a second just before half-time.

Villa pulled a goal back through Ollie Watkins early in the second half, but El Kaabi completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute to restore Olympiakos' two-goal advantage.

Douglas Luiz scored a stunning free-kick to make it 3-2, but Youssef El-Arabi's late goal sealed a comfortable victory for the Greek side.

Villa will need to score at least three goals in the second leg at Villa Park next Thursday if they are to reach the final.
